I don’t usually leave reviews but this hotel is too good not to. The location, the staff, the welcome gifts and attention to detail generally, all truly special.

Welcoming host (including Ziggy the dog). Property is beautiful. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast each morning overlooking the valley with croissants made by our host. The second morning this included the most delicious flan.
Short 10 min walk into village centre. Just far enough out to escape the crowds.
Overall just delightful & relaxing.

If you're planning on driving here with a rental car please be aware that it is extremely busy and the roads are incredibly narrow. My experienced driver was uncomfortable with parallel parking next to a precipitous drop The view that you often see in photos from the lookout near the village is beautiful but what you don't see are the lines of other people waiting to get the same shot. In short, it's incredibly touristy which does take away from the quaint ambiance I was looking for. We also visited Fontaine de Vancleur and found that village to be more manageable in terms of crowds, parking, and driving.

Gordes is a magical town, it's all walkable and you'll have plenty of choice for restaurants, be careful not to set out for dinner too late though as places seem to close quite early.
We had a fantastic meal at La Trinquette which I highly recommend. There's also a lively outdoor bar/restaurant opposite with a view!
If you're staying in the area and have access to a car, make sure you check out Abbaye Notre-Dame de Sénanque for it's beautiful exterior lined with Lavender (no need to get sucked in to the hour tour), also be sure to visit Le Sentier des Ocres, Roussillon is a stunning town and the orange Quarry is definitely something not to miss!
Parking can be quite tricky in the very heart but it's a small town and two mins up the road is a massive car park.

Gordes is a beautiful medieval village with lovely shops and restaurants and stunning views. It has a wonderful market every Tuesday morning. However it can get hectically busy during the day as it is phenomenally popular with tourists. It’s best to visit it early, around 10 am, and even at 9am on market day. Limited parking if one is not staying within walking distance nearby

Gordes is a beautiful town with amazing views, some nice shops, several good restaurants, lovely village market on Tuesday mornings.
Stayed on the hill leading up to Gordes, about a 10 minute walk from the city. Perfect location - got some exercise walking up every day, but had enjoyed the space and quiet of being outside the village
Ate at several restaurants in Gordes. Most enjoyed our meals at L'Outsider and Le Garden.
We visited early June. The village had lot's of tourists but wasn't too busy overall. Expect it would be much more crowded in July and August

Gordes has quite a lot of history which is very informative and interesting.. However in the actual village itself there is not a lot to offer. La ville sous la ville is very interesting.
The surrounding villages of Gordes are perhaps more interesting with markets and local cuisine. Lourmarin is definitely worth a visit.

We stayed in Gordes for three nights.
We stayed in Gordes for three nights. Three full days would have been fine but we lost a day going back to Aix en Provence for a private cooking class.
The Luberon area is absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed visiting many villages. Would highly recommend. Must have rental car.
Les Terrasses is perfectly situated for exploring Gordes and the surrounding area. Our accommodation was better than anticipated (even better than the photos suggest); Perle was incredibly spacious with a very comfortable bed and an excellent bathroom. We loved the two little terraces and easy access to the pool. The breakfast was superb and it was great to meet other guests and to chat to Frederic and his partner. Some great other touches too, like an aperitif one evening, which made this an exceptional stay.
If you are exploring Provence by car as we were, Gordes should be in your itinerary and Le Clos should be where you stay, if you can get a room. Day trips to great locations, knowledgeable hosts to show you the way. and to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Convenient parking, wonderful breakfasts, and the pleasure of beautiful, modern accommodations in a Medieval setting . They have created a benchmark for B&Bs worldwide.
Superbly convenient location within 10 mins walk of the beautiful medieval village of Gordes. Fantastic views of Gordes from our room and from most parts of the hotel. Excellent breakfasts outside overlooking the village. Extremely helpful and efficient staff. We had a loveky, comfortable room with our own private patio. Swimming pool on the property and ample secure parking. Highly recommend it!
It's a very quiet old stone farm converted into a hotel with a very nice swimming pool and outdoor dining area. The food was delicious. Staff was very welcoming. We liked the garden for sitting around and the vegetation all around the place with lavender and flowers. The room was stylish and decent in size with 2 comfortable beds and a nice modern bathroom.
I would say that throughout the years we have been travelling and staying in hotels and other forms of accommodation Les Milles Roches is one of the best we have ever stayed in. The owners were absolutely fabulous and always very helpful and accommodating. The room was modern and very stylish, comfortable with great views all-round.
Beautiful hotel with gorgeous property and swimming pool. Wonderful breakfast. The only negative was the size of the room, which was super tiny, and we are not big people at all. :) also the location was a bit too far to enjoy the town. You would really need a car to get to the center. It’s a 30-35 min walk along the dirt road.
Book this Chambre D'hote if you are looking for a nice hotel close to Gordes (walking distance). It is owned by a friendly couple that takes pride and care in welcoming their guests at a lovely venue.
The rooms are clean, the gardens beautiful and the breakfast is a wonderful experience next to the pool in the sun.
Set among beautiful olive groves and rolling hills, it was truly a spectacular stay. Honestly, the best place we stayed for our two weeks in France. Natalie and Michel were amazing hosts and were extremely nice and helpful! Wonderful breakfast every morning. Would highly recommend and would definitely return!
The location is gorgeous and very spacious.
We were 5 minutes from Gordes village center
This village is one of the nicest villages in France.
The rooms were spotless, breakfast was nice. They have a nice terrace.
They have milk substitute for vegan people which is quite difficult to find in the area.
We had a great 2 night stay at the hotel. The property is beautiful. The pool was fabulous, the complimentary breakfast was nice, and we dined at the restaurant one night and it was expensive but good. The hotel owner went above and beyond to answer our questions and make our stay memorable.
The room was very clean and very decorated.
The pool area is very nice with amazing panoramic view. The pool is heated and very clean.
The team was very friendly and serviceable.
The location is less than 5 minutes from Gordes.
We really liked the place, very recommended for 4 stars hotel.
Traditional provencale style hotel well situated to explore some of the surrounding area including Gordes named as one of the most beautiful villages in France. The rooms and hotel are well decorated and have an exclusive feel. The lady on reception spoke good English and was very helpful.
Very well managed, spacious accommodation very close to the historical centre of Gordes. The bungalows (“Bastidons” following local language and tradition) are set in a well-tended, gated and walled complex, with parking and swimming pool, trees and terraces.
Don't hesitate! This hotel is a gem in Gordes. We would walk from the hotel into Gordes everyday (5 minutes max), without the need to find parking in downtown Gordes. This pretty little town is so charming and the staff are so helpful. Highly recommend.
the house was exceptionally well maintained and clean as a whistle. The kitchen was very well stocked and had everything we needed. Fabulous location in easy walking distance to beautiful Gordes. The owner was easy to work with and very responsive.
A charming property in a fantastic location within walking distance to Gordes town center. Joel and Sandrine are wonderful hosts, and couldn't have been kinder. Breakfast was fantastic also!
Absolutely beautiful property with gorgeous views. Close to Gordes with wonderful restaurants and views. Excellent breakfast and a peaceful, calming environment.
