It's a very good budget friendly hotel with clean rooms that are well looked after. Staff are friendly. The breakfast was good - a continental breakfast with coffee, croissants, meats, cheese, fruit juice, toast, cereal, fruit salad and yogurt. It was good for a budget hotel not far from central amsterdam - we had to take a 20 minute train ride from hoofddorp each day to Amsterdam Central.

The modern and warm look/design of the room (e.g. telephone) and the breakfast room - a lot of wood and metal -both beautiful and functional; the very nice and helpful receptionist that I met when I arrived, the cocktail, the flexibility of ordering the shuttle , the responsiveness to to my prior request; the modern facilities in the room (e.g. light under the bed when getting off from it)

The hotel shuttle facility to airport was excellent
Hoofddorp represents one of those typical Dutch engineering marvels. Created after the draining of a lake and surrounding marshlands, it is today a mix of the traditional Dutch and ultimate modernity. Hoofddorp is located next to Schiphol International Airport and less than 30 minutes by train to Amsterdam city centre.
Founded in the mid-19th century after the draining of the Haarlemmer Lake, the town still maintains old typical houses, an old fort, and the 1856 windmill called ‘De Eersteling’, or ‘The First’. But the town is mostly known today as a tranquil suburb of Amsterdam, as well as an important hub where several companies have built their modern headquarters.
From Hoofddorp Railway Station you can reach the main hall of Schiphol International in less than 10 minutes by train. Links to Leiden, Utrecht and The Hague are also available, as well as numerous bus lines.
Hotels in Hoofddorp can be found in the city and near the railway station, but most of them are actually in the premises of Amsterdam Airport. Booking.com offers a variety of deals in and around the town.

Hoofddorp appears to be where a lot of the main hotels for Schiphol Airport are situated. Arriving there late at night, and coming only because I needed to stay somewhere after flight cancellations, I didn't have a chance to assess the place much, except that it's full of hotels and very busy (traffic noises right through the night). But it's convenient for the airport, although I wouldn't want to drive the route myself. If you're stuck at Schiphol (as I was), look for a Hoofddorp hotel with a shuttle service on offer, book it, then go out through the main airport entrance, walk through the buses and look for stand A9-13. That's where the shuttles come to, and most of them post their (frequent) pick-up times on the bus shelter.

The travellers need to decide whether to stay away from the main city as it is quite costly to travel to Amsterdam city centre. There was no facility available to book tickets for a week at the Railway Station. One has to buy a return ticket every day at the kiosk to travel to the city.

Friedly people ready to help.
Friedly people ready to help. Shuttle to and from hotel worked well for us but had trouble finding it when we got to the airport. We phoned the hotel for the location of the shuttle but got the wrong directions but finally figured it out after we phoned a second time and talked to someone different.

Very disappointed with my stay.
Very disappointed with my stay. The room was dirty and many supplies were broken. The staff at the front desk was rather rude and didn’t do any effort to solve our questions. It was a very expensive stay compared to other hotels in Amsterdam.

Brilliantly location for the airport.
Brilliantly location for the airport. Unless you have to, don't waste money on a taxi. The train from Amsterdam Schipol airport is quick and easy. Likewise, central Amsterdam is very easy from the hotel too by train. The hotel is very clean, the breakfast is well stocked, varied and very tasty indeed. The room I had was big and comfortable and the bathroom was great too. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
Quality/Price = 10/10; comfy and beautiful place.
I just stayed for one night because it was a flight lay-over but place has everything you need if you're staying longer than me. 2 bust stops (10 mins) away from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, and if you have a plane to catch it is something you would really appreciate.
The whole place is pristine and a lot of storytelling details in every part of the hotel that you will enjoy when you find out.
WiFi was a bit slow at night and ok by the morning. Definitely not a deal breaker.
Have now stayed here a few times. I love they have kitchenettes. I like the bathrooms in this hotel as they are completely tiled walk in shower so no shower tray. Its more sophisticated and modern. Standard rooms are a bit cramped compared to deluxe, but ok if you want to save the money. Has a gym which is a good thing but it could be better equipped and larger. And free parking which is nice (and something that a lot of hotels near Schiphol seem to abuse).
The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our flights had been cancelled and they looked after us very well, allowing us to book in early. The whole hotel was spotless. The rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean and had very comfortable beds. There was a good variety of food at breakfast. The free shuttle bus to and from the airport, which is also the train station into Amsterdam, runs every half hour. A huge plus!
Only problem was the shuttle bus, I waited over 1hour. I stood at the correct bus pickup station. When the bus came it went to another station, the driver informed me he had been twice, but if he stopped at the correct one, they wouldn't have been a problem. Also return to airport was not on time. Also hotel sign said Amsterdam Hotel, Bastion was next door, bit confusing.
Room was spacious and super clean. Beds were comfortable. Air conditioning was perfect. Black out curtains. Had a really good sleep. Hotel staffs were super friendly and helpful. Hotel also provide free shuttle buses to/from Schiphol. I stayed here for a night for a concert in Johan Cruijff. Easy to commute using the hotel shuttle+train via Schiphol. Highly recommended!
The rooms were very comfortable. Great Value. We stayed for two days and used the free shuttle to the airport/train station. From the airport, we took the train to the Central Station in Amsterdam and did our sightseeing. I wish the shuttle was a little bigger than a mini van. Sometimes we had to wait for the second van.
Wow, this was a pleasant surprise. Very nice, new clean facility with modern architecture. this is well 4 star hotel. What surprised me the most how modern and clean the kitchen is and it is also out in the open so everyone can see the everything. Staff was curious and professional. Unlike taxi drivers in Amsterdam.
On of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in Europe. Beautiful rooms with wonderful facilities. Great shower. The gym was great. The breakfast was 10/10. The staff are very friendly. It’s very easy to get to Amsterdam City Centre. Just a 2/3min walk to the bus. I loved my stay here. Would definitely be back.
Comfortable and clean rooms, good breakfast and very helpful & friendly staff. When I asked to change rooms because my room was close to the construction site next door, it was no trouble and they helped me straight away. Would definitely recommend for a stay close to Amsterdam and Schiphol.
the hotel was a two minute walk to the train station. took 20 minutes to get to the center of Amsterdam and 5 to get to the airport. breakfast was good and easy with kids. hotel was comfortable and seemed new. parking was right next door in a garage for a small fee.
Breakfast was amazing! Hotel was new and spotless. Loved the sauna and steam room. Convenient location for airport, but took us 20-25 min to get into Amsterdam by train and tram... note that train tickets into the city cost 6 euros each
Very good place for a layover in Amsterdam. The bus close by runs to the city center quite frequently. The breakfast is very good and the staff super. Not a large room but for a short stay very adequate.
We enjoyed the style of the hotel and found the room comfortable. Was easy enough to get into central Amsterdam by using the bus stop 10 mins from the hotel to the airport and getting the train from there.
Modern, friendly hotel in a good location for Schiphol (3 mins walk from Hoofddorp station, 1 stop from airport) and also with parking. Good food options breakfast and dinner.
The room was clean and comfortable, it is near Hoofddorp Train Station, so it is very convenient to Schiphol airport. The price was also reasonable, with breakfast included.
The studio had everything one needs and the decoration of the unit was very good. There was also free parking in front of the unit and close to Amsterdam airport
