Breakfast - food was excellent, choice was so varied, never seen a toffee milkshake before, staff fantastic, made Mum a poached egg and got her a banana when there was none left.
Dinner - superb. Fresh and tasty and excellent portions. Varied menu.
Room - very clean
Pool - beautiful until the children arrived! Could do with slightly less wide step ladders for those with knee problems!

A quiet location now with enough facilities still to make it a good location to stay and use as a base whilst visiting other sites. There are a lot of historical sites in and around the town but no attempt has been made to advertise them although a money seems to have been spent displaying Oliver Cromwell. A free photocopy-able guide to the town history plus the riverside and common walks would be nice. A town has been in this location since Roman times and had a Norman castle. There was talk of a Saxon \ Viking site on the common? Pathfinder headquarters was here during WW2

Huntingdon clean, very little litter, perfect break if you want to learn about Oliver Cromwell. I used it as a place to break the journey to Great Yarmouth, staying overnight going to Great Yarmouth, and for two hours on long drive back.

The Old Bridge was great for a special celebration dinner.
The Old Bridge was great for a special celebration dinner.
The Falcon was a lovely friendly local pub.
The Ephesus Hill couldn't have been more welcoming, and the food was gorgeous.
The town is small enough to walk everywhere.
The watercourses around Fenland are great for seeing wildlife, especially birds.
The only thing I would do differently on another visit would be to *remember* the locations of Aldi and Lidl, which were both very close to the property. We wasted time, while we were out, looking for groceries, when there were both those shops a stone's throw from the property.

Compact town to visit on foot.
Compact town to visit on foot. Highlight is the Cromwell Museum. Good use of off-High Street shopping presincts.
Where are the town planners/architects with a solution to restoring High Streets, particularly the shop fronts, to something in keeping with the town's past?

Huntingdon has a lot going for it!
Huntingdon has a lot going for it! Its a great place to spend a day traveling with the family, see the Cromwell museum, enjoy the high street shops, and have lunch at the Old Bridge, and play on the playground by the water. Definitely worth a look!
Convenient to Huntingdon and road links.
Good size rooms and bathroom, shower was very good.
Communication with the owner was exceptional, very quick to reply and very flexible as Charlene allowed us a later check out. Also we realised the day after check out that my son had left 2 jackets in the bedroom, as we were still in the area Charlene let me use the key box to go back in and pick them up which was much appreciated.
Very handy location for getting in/out of Huntingdon.
The ‘room’ is part of a converted barn on an old farm, it has its own front door and is next to a garden and has own parking space.
Its very clean and modern, and has small kitchenette with fridge/microwave etc. it was freezing outside but room was lovely and warm, and the mattress was really comfy with good quality duvet.
Will def stay again.
The room was a delightful surprise, especially as we didn't realise that it had an upstairs mezzanine bedroom. Also it had been refurbished very recently so everything was like new. There are two smart TVs a 50 inch downstairs and 40 inch upstairs. The kitchen part is tiny but it was fine for all we needed.
And finally plenty of parking space. Much better value than the popular budget hotel chains.
Very comfortable flat. It is located very central, close to grocery store and restaurants. The owner was super fast with communication and getting us the key code. So much better than staying in a hotel. Being on the ground floor was convenient. I enjoyed drinking coffee on the deck
Such a welcoming couple who run Thorpe Guest House. The room was beautifully presented and felt much more upmarket than any hotel room available at the price range. The breakfast was professionally presented and well cooked yet with a homely atmosphere. Would recommend.
Fantastic stay at very nice hotel on the river. The staff were very good and were excellent ambassadors for the hotel. Would reccomend this hotel to anyone coming to stay in Huntingdon. Will most definitely stay again.
I enjoyed that we were able to cook and be able to move freely unlike a hotel room. The TV's worked great, the internet was great. And the bed was soft and comfy. The location was perfect.
The hotel was spacious, good lay out , clean and pleasant to stay. Room was big and bright. Breakfast was amazing!
The lady at the bar who knew my room number was a lovely lovely.
Location is fantastic, being in the centre of Huntingdon, just 1 step from town centre. Every thing at walking distance, bus station and train station.
