Weymouth holds a special place in my heart as my Mum’s family all come from there and I spent a lot of my school holidays there. It has of course changed quite a lot but the beach is still fabulous for children and if you are happy to drive further afield there is Sandsfoot Cove which is a bit quieter than the main beach, and Portland with it’s exciting lighthouse to visit at the Bill. Abbotsbury Swannery is brilliant - beautiful and educational all at once and Monkey World just along the way is much fun. You can’t go wrong having a break in Weymouth.

We love Weymouth our travel time is about 90min away but we love to stay there when we can as there is so much to do. The beach is always clean and the dogs are allowed on a specific partof the beach in the summer. Good places to eat and fabulous old pubs to find out of town. The boot is a special little gem. The nightlife is good as there is always live music in the pubs. The harbour is a magical place to sit with a coffee or a beer and watch the bridge going up to let the boats go under. Also good shopping centre, a little run down in places but on the whole plenty of good cafes.

I have visited Weymouth ever since i was a child so it holds a special place in my heart. Its really dissapointing to see how many shops etc that are now closed though making the town centre look pretty poor.
We visited the Preston side of Weymouth as well though and this has got a lot better over the years. The arcades are fantastic, the scenery is superb and the prices at the cafes etc arent too steep either.

Very disappointed with present day Weymouth.
Very disappointed with present day Weymouth. Have visited Weymouth regularly over a period of 70 years, except for the beach, the town centre is very run down. Many shops, bars, restaurants and other facilities shut down. The streets were filthy and strewn with rubbish. In desperate need of a makeover and some loving care.
Will not return in near future.
Greeted by very polite hosts who even helped with our bags from the car.
Very welcoming and warm setting with spacious and clean rooms. The bedding and mattress was so comfortable.
Very quiet which aided a great night's sleep. The cooked breakfast in the mornings was delicious and very filling. Simon and Rosie are very attentive and we look forward to staying here again.
Location wise it was perfect for us as 10 min drive to weymouth sea front with lots of other places to visit within driving distance.
Thank you for a great stay.
We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Harlequin Guest House. The hotel's prime location near the beach and high street made it the perfect starting point for our exploration of Dorset. Mike, the owner, was incredibly polite and took the time to highlight the nearby attractions worth visiting. We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel, especially considering its remarkably affordable price, ideal location, and the attentive and friendly staff. Our stay here exceeded all expectations.
Great location. Couldn't believe how quiet it was, despite there being a pub/restaurant next door. Building was lovely and the room and bathroom were very well presented. Chickerell is a great jumping off point, for the centre of Weymouth + Portland, and the private, off road parking. is a fantastic bonus, given that many hotels/b&bs in Weymouth don't have access to this.
We really liked the room, everything was very simple
but we didn't lack anything
accommodation with everything you need
very clean and the owners are very friendly and welcoming people
We didn't enjoy breakfast but I'm sure it would be excellent
If I go back one day I will stay at this same hotel
I would recommend THE GRESHAM to anyone visiting Weymouth
We were made welcome straight away I offered a cup of or coffee on arrival, also showed me where to Park for free too and brought me back to the Guest house.
I was there for the Ironman event and even offered early breakfast before the event.
I would definitely recommend to stay there if in Weymouth again I'll look to book their Guest house.
After a very long drive, we were greeted by the fantstic hospitality of Ryan and Niamh. They sorted us out with parking and got us settled in very well post midnight which was really appricated.
They really make you feel special at the Jubilee hotel and it's always our go to spot when we find ourselves collecting diving supplies!
Close to train station, beach and town. John the owner was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was absolutely spotless. We have stayed in a lot of hotels and B&B's in Weymouth and this little gem is one we will definitely return to.
Thank you John and Chris for your hospitality.
We had a fantastic time in this lovely and cosy hotel. We received a big warm welcome, and the lady was very friendly and nice. We only stayed for one night but we will definitely book again next time we will be in Weymouth. The breakfast was very good and rich of choice.
Fantastic location for visiting Weymouth. We came on the bank holiday weekend of the Kings Coronation and it did not disappoint. We had a balcony and views of the fireworks out at sea. Live music on the beach. The central location made it a very special stay.
The Clarence is in the perfect location for Weymouth seafront, marina, quay and shops. It has certainly earned its 4 star rating; everything is of such a high quality finish, the hosts especially welcoming and friendly and the breakfasts worth working up for!
The hosts were exceptional in their desire to make our stay memorable and in assisting us with tourist info. Property was well located on seafront. Rooms were comfortable clean and home cooked English breakfast was cooked to order
Nice big airy comfortable apartment, lots of living space as well as great sized bedroom and shower room/wc. Great communication from the host, easy to follow access instructions, parking and good central location in Weymouth
Typical hotel in a sea-resort city where the kindness of the staff was outstanding. Good breakfast, clean room and close to all the things to see in Weymouth. I had the kind of relaxation I was look for.
Perfect place to stay for a couple. Our second time here and ideal for our needs, immaculate and comfortable and so well placed for the seafront, town centre and with parking.
Staff were very nice and helpful, and hotel central to most things to do , staff on desk Very helpful with parking behind hotel,(stressful for me to do it) very clean hotel
