We arrived at a very disorganized and dysfunctional establishment that was quite difficult to find, even with the mixed-up directions provided.
When I tried to clarify some issues with the host, she responded with, "I shouldn’t even be here, it’s my day off." This didn't address any of our concerns. I tried to change to a different room due to the confusing layout and the number of stairs, but was told they were fully booked but after pushing it, i was given a different room. Then for curiosity I checked their website and was able to book three rooms for the same night, so clearly the “we are fully booked” was debatable.
The hotel supposedly offers free parking, but we were told it’s on a first-come, first-served basis. Considering the number of rooms, many guests would likely have to struggle for street parking.
The bed was okay, but the pillows were cheap and uncomfortable. There is a fridge, but it was warmer inside the fridge than the room.
There are 12 downlights in the room, with two switches on the wall, one of which does nothing, while the other turns all 12 lights on or off at once so its all or nothing! Additionally, there are no bedside lamps, just a tiny reading lamp with very low wattage. There isn’t even a towel rail in the bathroom.
The rooms are noise transparent, noise travels heavily throughout the building so you can hear whats going on in the room above you and hallway noise is very bad. Also for a room for two people, there was only one arm chair and when asked if it was possible to get another one, we were told yes, but we never saw it which is consistent with the disorganization.
The rate is advertised as including breakfast but what is provided is a joke. A couple of pastries i. a paper bag, hung on the door overnight lol.
Sive Budget Accommodation in Cahersiveen provides pleasant accommodation close to the many sights of County Kerry. This busy market town offers boat crossings to the World Heritage Site Skellig Rock.

Lovely friendly town with a few pubs ( although less than was open on our last trip). Music in some of the pubs and one which was full of locals and pleasant to sit and chat in. Some interesting little shops and near Valentia Island which is a very interesting place to spend a day.

What a great little town.
What a great little town. What’s even better is that you can just head to the Ring of Skellig, which is breathtaking. So glad it was a cloudy day because we got the fog nestling into the hills. The contrast of the landscape in terms of colors was amazing. I would have done another loop just to see it all again! We will be back.

Was not very impressed really the room was a bit tired and lacked any nice touches it just had enough to get you by, very basic.
The host Christine was ok but seemed a bit miserable to be honest which is not very good when you are running a b&b this left me and my partner feeling like she wanted you gone as soon as possible.
Would choose another place to stay next time.

Quaint town plenty of tourist attractions, very friendly locals and three beautiful sunny days unfortunately day four was a typically Irish day referred to locally as "damp".As stated earlier could not visit the local hostilities due to the prohibition that has been inflicted upon us, but all for a very good reason that we will still be around next year to enjoy The Ring Of Kerry Hotel and beautiful County Kerry.

Cahersiveen is such a great base for a few days.
Cahersiveen is such a great base for a few days. You'll need time to go to Valentia Island and fully explore (which is well worth it), and go to the Kerry Cliffs (which we thought were better than Moher). We had an amazing seafood chowder in Pormagee, and would have taken another day to explore the Skelligs but we were here off season.
We enjoyed the ability to have 12 people stay and plenty of room to cook food, hang out and enjoy the pub feel, almost like a private party venue. Facilities were very modern while keeping the older pub-like feel. Good communication by the host, detailed information on all the establishments in the town of Cahersiveen. All the beds were new and very comfortable. Cahersiveen town has some beautiful scenery and the location of the property is nicely located to access everything you need. Overall, we had a great stay and will be back again.
Eamonn & Joan made us feel right at home. They cooked a traditional Irish breakfast that was the best in all of Ireland. They gave us recommendations for dinner and we had two delightful meals in town just 5 minutes away. The location was perfect for touring the Ring of Kerry. And it is a short drive to Portmagee where we had an amazing boat ride to the Skellig Islands. And their pup Charlie was adorable! We loved every minute there.
The quaint cottage was clean and cozy. The kitchen was fully equipped. We used the fireplace every evening. That was a real treat. The view of the bay with the mountains as a backdrop was incredible! We’d walk each day through the neighborhood filled with sheep and cows. Absolutely beautiful surroundings! I would come back to Ireland just to stay here! We drive the ring of Kerry. The views here were just as good.
Spacious and fully equipped house with everything you could need, including tea bags, coffee, shampoo, dishwasher tabs and washing machine. Brilliant location, gorgeous views overlooking the marina and mountains, and only a short walk to shops and pubs. Easy drive to all of South Kerry's amazing historical sites and beautiful scenery. Really helpful host, answered all queries quickly. Highly recommended, Thanks!
It’s a unique, well decorated townhouse with attention to details. It’s both comfortable and beautiful. The continental breakfast is fresh and delicious with whole fruits, cheeses, jams, pastries, salmon, extra drinks, and teas/coffees provided inside your accommodations.
There is plenty of on site parking in a gated private lot with a private walkway leading into the seafood restaurant.
Can't say a bad word about this B&B! The rooms were clean, The beds were comfy and the breakfast was delicious! The hosts were also extremely friendly and even took the time to make a plan with us for the Ring of Kerry! To say it was value for money would be an understatement! Can't recommend enough!
Darren.
We loved this little place. Very convenient to seeing the natural beauty of Portmagee and the Kerry Cliffs. The Skellig Six 18 distillery is right around the corner, and the ferry to Valentia Island is at the end of the road. Very clean apartment with parking.
Bright, clean bed and breakfast that is professionally operated to a high standard. Friendly owner who shares her knowledge of the town and resources. Lounge in the front has excellent views of the hills and into the town of Cahersiveen.
The location was great. We stayed there because we planned to go to the Skelligs in the next morning. The hotel was clean. The room was ok, looked like a motel room. The staff was very nice and friendly. The breakfast was great.
Gorgeous boutique hotel: lovely team, lovely room, great bathroom and shower, thoughtful breakfast in room, full of character, relaxing lounge area for after-dinner drinks and coffee, amazing seafood restaurant attached!
A beautiful cottage in a stunning location and ideally situated for exploring the Ring of Kerry.
The host went out of her way to ensure my stay there was comfortable and that I had everything I needed.
Gorgeous property, clean, central, beautifully laid out, wonderful hosts who taught us so much about Irish and Kerry history. Absolutely extraordinary breakfast - best we have had on our trip by far!
The location was perfect for seeing the Ring of Kerry. The hosts gave excellent advice and directions on sight seeing. Could not have had a better experience. A lovely, helpful and courteous couple.
The Accommodations were exceptional, clean, comfortable and the proprietors were very kind, helpful good people that made every effort to ensure a pleasant stay.
