Set in tranquil surroundings with large landscaped grounds and a picturesque garden terrace with mountain views, Tongariro Crossing Lodge offers uniquely spacious rooms with historic character. A garden is featured. The room was clean, the beds were confortable. The kitchen had all that was needed to cook a nice meal. Service provided by hosts was excellent and the extra we paid for the breakfast was well worth it.

Featuring free private parking, the lodge is in an area where guests can engage in activities such as hiking, skiing and billiards. Unbeknown to the host our Whanau live directly across the road so to find this gem was perfect will definitely come back

Ruapehu Country Lodge is situated alongside Waimarino Golf Course, and is just a 5-minute drive from Ohakune's town centre. Wanganui Airport is 1 hour and 15 minutes' drive away. Breakfast was amazing! A great spread in the living room with other guests. Marie and Bernie went out of their way to accomodate us, helping us out when we couldn’t get dinner in the town over Easter weekend.

Plateau Lodge is located 15 minutes’ drive from UNESCO World Heritage listed Tongariro National Park, where guests can enjoy skiing, hiking, cycling and paddling activities. A daily, shuttle service is available hourly from 6:00 until 9:00 to the Tongariro Crossing & National park. Free parking is available. The location is right next to the shuttle stop, and employees are all very kind and willing to advise suggestion to those needed for trip

The nearest airport is Taupo Airport, 98 km from the lodge. I found it an amazing property! It's like a little house. I very much enjoyed the stay. The covered deck and the bush were really good.

Featuring amazing views of Mt Ruapehu, 2 hot tubs and a restaurant with a large deck area, Kings Ohakune is 2 minutes’ walk from Ohakune Station and 3 minutes' walk from the start of the Ohakune Mountain Road. Perfect location. Clean and tidy rooms. Nice and warm. The heater was already on for our arrival. Everything you need for a nice stay. Staff were so helpful and welcoming. Couldn't of asked for anything more!! The spa pools were fantastic!!
