Family-run for over 160 years, the Hotel Kreuz is a traditional country inn in a quiet location in the Canton of Solothurn, 30 minutes away from Basle. The staff and service were excellent. The hotel was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was very good. Great location.

Featuring free WiFi and a restaurant, Baseltor Hotel & Restaurant is located in Solothurn. All rooms come with a flat-screen TV. The rooms are fitted with a private bathroom. The room was very clean, spacious, well-lit, and comfortable. Completely new renovation in very old building. Quiet at night and no church bells ringing every hour. Never heard a churchbell even thought it is next to the old church. Bathroom was also very clean with L'Occitaine body wash and shampoo - a nice luxurious touch! The breakfast was very good, plentiful with lots of choices. The dinner also excellent with high-quality ingredients. Would definately stay here again. Hotel and restaurant staff very polite and accommodating to our needs in the rooms and the restaurant. I can highly recommended this hotel.

Hotel Astoria is located in the centre of Olten, 650 metres from Olten Train Station. It offers free Wi-Fi, 2 restaurants serving international cuisine, and a bar on the top floor overlooking the... A perfect surprise. Klein aber fein… as one says in German. Very friendly and approachable young staff. The hotel has several restaurants with indoor and outdoor seating and a unique rooftop bar on the 6th floor with expensive views all over Olton. Breakfast buffet Is not extensive but ticks all the right boxes when it comes to nutrition. The fresh bread, bread roll nd cheese varieties are amazing. My room is clean and modern and the rest of the hotel appears to be so as well. This hotel really punches above its weight. I’m one happy customer 😊

Hotel Amaris is located in Olten, in the vicinity of the train station, near the picturesque old quarter city. The hotel offers sophisticated rooms and suites, as well as seminar and meeting rooms. I have stayed at this hotel several times, and it never disappoints. Large rooms, with the typical Swiss austerity, but large, with comfortable beds, large bathrooms and a small but nice balcony. It has efficient light (blinds) and acoustic insulation (due to the noise of the constant passage of trains). The wi-fi connection is very good. The breakfast buffet is diverse, extensive and generous, with a multitude of products, including hot dishes that are either on the counter or can be ordered from the friendly ladies. Ideal hotel for train travelers, due to its location in front of one of the largest stations in Switzerland, which allows for multiple excursions. In addition, it is one of the hotels in the country with the best quality/price ratio. And if you are also a railway fan, ask for a room with a view of the station: you will really enjoy it.
