The family-run Hotel U Kaplicky is a 10-minute walk from the Old Bridge in the historic royal town of Pisek. All rooms are en-suite and they come with wooden furniture and work desks. The best thing about this hotel is the friendly staff. That might be because I'm learning Czech and they never make me feel stupid even though I'm communicating at the level of a three-year-old. But how else do you learn? The property is ultramodern inside, all white, and really quite funky. I love it. There is also an excellent restaurant and the pride includes breakfast from the buffet.,

Villa Conti is located in the historical centre of this UNESCO-protected town, only 200 metres from the main entrance of the chateau, and offers you rooms of outstanding romance. Excelent room, very clean and comfortable on a historic building that is extremely well located (less than 5 minutes from historic town but still on a quiet side street). We basically could explore the town and just get back to the hotel for a quick bathroom or to leave some purchase, and just get back to exploring the town that easily. Owner was very receptive and offered great suggestions, and breakfast was excelent. Too bad we just stayed for 1 night, could have spent a week there easily. Loved it!!!

Old part of town is full of Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance buildings. Nice to stroll and discover sights. Many good restaurants, like Mesne Kramy and U Tri sedlaku with excellent Czech food. We've chosen Trebon as a base for our trip through South Bohemia. Stayed there for 4 nights, but mainly to sleep over. Liked the walks through the city center, but there could be more places to enjoy good beer. Local Regent beer is unfortunately poor but I hear the fish in the restaurants is great. Great nature around town.

I only stayed for a short time and it was just enough. I personally prefer to travel around and see different places rather than feel like I've spent too long somewhere. I was lucky enough to see this place in the snow and it's just beautiful. The views from the castle over the old town area when it's dark, with a bit of lighting and the snow just absolutely magnificent. "The Pearl of South Bohemia" is what I am told Cesky Krumlov is - and it's not difficult to see why!

Kaminek is a really nice location slightly in the middle of nowhere. The whole setup is super cute, with nice surroundings. The room was excellent in size, clean, well maintained and great value for money. Having the option of a restaurant and breakfast at the place is great, because it's a bit of a way to the next possible locations to get a meal - but unfortunately not all is perfect in that regard, read on! Staff was friendly and there was usually someone around who could speak English.

Location of the property was excellent, just next to the Zlata Koruna monastery and in the middle of the village. Breakfast was included in the very affordable price and it was best we have had in Czech Republic so far. Morning breakfast ( including scrambled eggs,warm ham, tea, coffee, donuts, jam, butter etc) was cooked to perfection and we had freshly baked bread and buns, even it was on Sunday = very nice surprise.. staff was exceptionally nice and they were very friendly. We will definitely stay there again and highly recommending it . 5*
